Information Technologies & Equipment

Fundament & Associates, Inc., under the direction of a CCIE, a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE – equivalent to a PhD in internetworking technologies), provides extensive Information Technology services which not only include the design of structure cabling for facilities but also the design of full data centers and Information Technology equipment for data, telephony, and signal systems. Amongst the recent work produced by the firm has been the full master planning and implementation of the Hoag Presbyterian Hospital System cabling infrastructure and construction of new fiberoptic hub centers. Also noteworthy is the design produced by Fundament & Associates, Inc. for the Orange County Sherriff Loma Ridge Emergency Operation Center UPS system, considered one of the most advanced in the United States and the first of its kind in California. This sophisticated system ensures that the emergency care center remains operational under any conceivable calamity that may occur in Southern California including major fires, earthquakes and other natural disasters such as 500-year flood events.

During our director’s tenure with Cisco, he has assisted in the development of a series of new products including the Cisco Catalyst 6500 product family, Nexus 7000 Enterprise Switches, and has worked with technologies such as VoIP, Telepresence, fiber and twisted pair as well as a variety of host interfaces like iSCSI and FCoE. These network layers, components and equipment achieve a 99.9999% availability and have room for easy future expansion.

Fundament & Associates, Inc. is proud to announce the recent completion of the construction document phase for the SJSU Student Union Project. F&A was the full service Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineers on this project designed with a full BIM model utilizing Revit and Navisworks. Construction on this project starts January 2011.
